#90 – Matthew Perryman Jones
Matthew Perryman Jones, the man from Tennessee who keeps haunting me TV show after TV show. I’ve heard ‘Save You’ two years ago in One Tree Hill, a year later in Grey’s Anatomy + Private Practice and even another year later – aka last week – in Pretty Little Liars. Hmm, i can almost picture you guys wondering by now like ‘How many TV-shows does this girl watch!?’ I know, way too much, but let’s just label it as ‘research’. Otherwise i wouldn’t have found all these great artists, right? Right!?
Now i can almost hear you thinking ‘Uhm, yes right, whatever you’d wish to believe Auk’.
Anyway, back to business. He has some more lovely songs like ‘Waiting on the light to change’ or ‘Outta Reach’, but ‘Save You’ is that kind of song you’ll never get tired of. Everytime when i haven’t heard it in a while and i hear these first words ‘I wanna rock and roll…’ i just get goosebumps. It’s one of my all time favorites, so there is not a real story behind it to explain why i’m putting this online today in particular. But i do think the lyrics are strong, and we probably all have been in a situation like that. The twisting and turning when it comes to love and complicated relationships. Are you gonna set yourself free or are you gonna hold on? What if the other person wants you to choose differently, because he/she made up his/her mind?
We all depend on others,
we all have to adjust to their decisions,
and we all need a little bit of saving every now and then…

Infatuated.nl is an initiative of Aukje Bakx, and so an one-woman-production. Hence she works real hard to provide you guys with new music related crushes, marriages or one-hit wonders. But unfortunately she doesn't have the time to do that on a daily basis. Therefore she asks you - the lucky bastards who dó have a lot of time on their hands - to come back whenever you feel like it. (And yes,... writing in third person is dapper)
