#104 – William Fitzsimmons

William Fitzsimmons, known from Grey’s Anatomy (‘Passion Play’) and his touring with the Cary Brothers is this amazing singer-songwriter who actually produced his first album at home. He grew up with two blind parents who were both musicians and taught himself piano, guitar and pipe organ – which his dad built for him (aaww!). His lyrics are really personal as he uses his parents – and his own – divorce as inspiration. After reading this biography i appreciated him even more, especially with the beard-look he’s rocking these days. He is being compared with Sufjan Stevens, Joshua Radin and City & Colour. And well, this is his latest single…

You hide your
Filthy hands from all of us
Still unseen and tied
What water
These killing hands
could ever clean

Still you run

I want to be changed from
The shadow and the tomb
Like water rushing over us
The tide pulls from the moon

Infatuated.nl is an initiative of Aukje Bakx, and so an one-woman-production. Hence she works real hard to provide you guys with new music related crushes, marriages or one-hit wonders. But unfortunately she doesn't have the time to do that on a daily basis. Therefore she asks you - the lucky bastards who dó have a lot of time on their hands - to come back whenever you feel like it. (And yes,... writing in third person is dapper)
